Student practising CPR skills during the PADI EFR Malaga first aid course.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER (EFR)

The PADI EFR Malaga course teaches essential first aid and CPR skills that prepare you to respond confidently in real‑life emergencies. Whether you are a diver progressing toward Rescue Diver or someone who simply wants to learn life‑saving techniques, the PADI EFR Malaga program provides clear, practical training that anyone can follow. The course focuses on building confidence, improving decision‑making, and teaching simple steps that can make a critical difference in an emergency. During the Primary Care (CPR) section, you learn how to recognise life‑threatening situations and respond effectively. This includes performing chest compressions, rescue breaths, and using barrier devices to protect yourself while assisting others. You also practise how to help an unresponsive person, manage choking incidents, and provide care until professional medical support arrives. The Secondary Care (First Aid) section teaches you how to assess injuries and illnesses that are not immediately life‑threatening. You learn how to bandage wounds, stabilise fractures, manage shock, and provide reassurance to an injured person. These skills are valuable in everyday life, not just in diving. The PADI EFR Malaga course follows internationally recognised emergency care guidelines and includes realistic scenarios to help you apply your skills with confidence.
