Scorpion Fish

The Scorpion fish, usually referred to locally as “Rock fish” is included in the world’s group of most venemous species.  Their Dorsal fin has numerous spines covered by their skin which retracts leaving the spines exposed to inject highly venemous mucus into the aggressor.  Their family is a large one with hundreds of members.  Importantly, they are not agressive and only react defensively.  Join us in Marina del este, Nerja as we dive through the amazing rock and coral features and we will point them out to you.
